The Slasher

The in-game line describes a relentless force that moves undetected. Lake of Mist gives 80% translucence, a large haste, and full stealth that lingers 4 seconds after decloaking. It plays a global audio cue, lasts on a 60 second cooldown after the May 16, 2026 change, applies a heavy slow when it ends, and disables vaulting, breaking, and attacking while it is active. Pursuit was set to 21.25 studs per second on that date and is used to break pallets in a chase. Personal perks named on the killer page are Excitement, Brutal Strength, and Off-Screen.

Free. This is the default killer.

Use Mist to cross the map or to reach a generator, then cancel it before you need to swing. Save Pursuit for a pallet the survivor is actually playing. The cooldowns are long, so an early pop leaves you as a basic attacker.
